Joe

Joe, also known as "the Superstar," is a non-playable character in the Street Fighter series, first appearing as one of the ten computer-controlled opponents in the original Street Fighter game in 1987. Joe is recognized for his tall stature, short, spiky blond hair, red pants, and white shoes. In his Street Fighter Shadaloo C.R.I. profile artwork, he is also shown wearing a light gray tank top with fingerless black gloves and a star-shaped belt buckle. Joe's design is inspired by American kickboxer Benny Urquidez, and his signature move is the "Benny's Spinning Back Kick". Despite this, many Western fans believe Joe's design also draws inspiration from late kickboxing legend, Joe Lewis. In the storyline, Joe was formerly the unbeaten kickboxing champion of the United States before violent outbursts and financial troubles led him to become an outlaw. He currently participates in indie wrestling tournaments under the identity of "Super Star."
