Mike

Mike (マイク) is a non-playable character in the Street Fighter series, first appearing as one of the ten computer-controlled opponents in the original Street Fighter game. He is a heavyweight boxer who spent time in prison for robbery. While incarcerated, he learned to box. After his release, he began to compete in fights to raise money to help the poor and contribute to his community by teaching children how to box. He loves his family and has a good relationship with his sister, who is five years younger. Despite being a minor character, Mike has gained some recognition within the Street Fighter community. It's worth noting that in the Japanese version of the games, the boxer Balrog is also named Mike Bison, adding complexity to Mike's character. Mike has also appeared in Balrog's Street Fighter I arcade ending in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and later as inspiration for an alternate costume for Balrog. Mike is liked by some fans for his unique backstory and his connection to the series’ main characters.
