Birdie

Birdie (Japanese: バーディー, Bādī) is a fictional character in the Street Fighter series. He first appeared as a non-playable opponent in the original Street Fighter in 1987, and later became a playable character in the Street Fighter Alpha series. Birdie is a large, British punk rocker who fights using chains. His appearance has changed throughout the Street Fighter games. Initially, he was depicted as a tall, muscular man with pale skin and a mohawk. In the Street Fighter Alpha series, he was portrayed as a black character with a blonde mohawk, a distinctive mustache, and a red heart tattoo. In Street Fighter V, he appears more obese, grimy, and disheveled, sporting new tattoos and outfits. Birdie's personality is described as a dim-witted, short-tempered brute, but he also shows more complex layers, such as being friends with Ryu and allying with Chun-Li in the Street Fighter Alpha manga. In Street Fighter V, he leaves Shadaloo and becomes a freeloader at the Kanzuki Estate, using food items like banana peels and donuts in combat.
