Eagle is a character from the Street Fighter series, first appearing as a non-playable opponent in the original Street Fighter. He later returned as a playable fighter in the crossover game Capcom vs. SNK 2 and joined the roster of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. Eagle is an English bouncer, a gentleman, and a master of the stick fighting martial art, Bōjutsu. He is a tall, muscular fighter with blond hair arranged in a pompadour; he also has a mustache, and scars on both sides of his face. His attire typically includes a shirt, a tie (a bow tie in early versions and an ascot tie later), and suspenders. Initially designed as an homage to Petrov from the Bruce Lee film Fist of Fury, his appearance was later redesigned to incorporate elements of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the British rock band Queen, and he is also implied to be homosexual. In the story, Eagle was hired by a newly rich noble family to defeat Sagat. He seeks perfect duels, leading him to clash with several strong fighters in Street Fighter Alpha 3, and eventually facing Vega and helping Guile and others to destroy the Psycho Drive.
