Hugo Andore, also known as ヒューゴー・アンドレ in Japanese, is a fictional character in the Street Fighter series, originally debuting as an enemy in the Final Fight series before becoming a playable character in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact. He is a giant standing at just under 8 feet tall, renowned for his immense size and strength. Hugo was formerly a member of the Mad Gear gang, later transitioning to become a professional wrestler managed by his longtime friend and former gang member, Poison. Together with Poison, he formed the "Huge Wrestling Army" with the aim of conquering the entire pro wrestling world. Hugo's personality is often portrayed as a simple-minded yet short-tempered "muscle man" who takes great pride in his physique and power. In Ultra Street Fighter IV, he is shown to have a fondness for potatoes, stemming from his mother's teachings about growing strong like one. Hugo's design is inspired by the famous wrestler André the Giant.
