Rufus

Rufus (ルーファス) is a fictional character in Capcom's Street Fighter series, first appearing in Street Fighter IV. He is an obese American kung-fu fighter who proclaims himself "America's Greatest Fighter" and considers Ken Masters his rival, despite Ken's unfamiliarity with him. Designed by Daigo Ikeno, Rufus' initial concept was drastically different, envisioning him as a lean, African-American character. However, he was ultimately redesigned into a large, blonde, braided-haired man to evoke a more "grotesque" feel. Rufus is known for his loud, boastful personality, his tendency to mistake other characters for Ken, and his surprisingly skilled fighting abilities despite his goofy demeanor. He typically wears a yellow and black jumpsuit and black boots, and a Chinese Jiang Shi outfit was added in Super Street Fighter IV. His inclusion in the Street Fighter series is marked by his over-the-top design and comedic rivalry with Ken.
