Kano

Kano is a character from the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in the original game in 1992. He is a ruthless villain and the leader of the Black Dragon crime syndicate, operating his criminal activities and arms dealing between Earthrealm and Outworld. Kano is the arch-nemesis of Sonya Blade and a primary enemy of the Special Forces. He is characterized by his cybernetic eye, a laser-capable prosthetic. Kano is known within the games for his underhanded tactics, cunning strategies, and crude sense of humor. Across different Mortal Kombat titles, Kano's backstory, appearance, and abilities have evolved. Originally, he was of Japanese-American descent but was later changed to Australian following Trevor Goddard’s portrayal in the 1995 film. Kano has appeared not only in the games but also in films, animations, and comics, usually depicted as a selfish, treacherous, and opportunistic character, while also being popular for his unique personality and memorable lines. He is frequently in conflict with Sonya Blade and often plays the antagonist in storylines.
