Raiden

Raiden is a central character in the Mortal Kombat series, known as the God of Thunder and protector of Earthrealm. He is an eternal deity with immense power and supernatural abilities, including control over lightning, teleportation, and flight. Raiden typically appears as a full-grown man wearing a straw hat, white robes, and a blue vest, with glowing electric blue eyes and flowing white hair befitting his godlike status. He serves as a mentor to Earth's warriors, particularly Liu Kang and Kung Lao. Throughout the story, Raiden undergoes multiple timeline and form changes, sometimes becoming dark and enraged, but he consistently strives to protect Earth from external threats. Despite his divine status, he is subject to limitations, such as losing his powers in non-native realms. Raiden has also appeared in several Mortal Kombat films, TV series, and animated works, portrayed by different actors and with varying storylines.
