Jerrod is a significant character in the Mortal Kombat franchise, often depicted as the former King of Edenia, husband of Sindel, and father of Kitana. Jerrod's fate varies across different timelines and storylines, but he is usually connected to the fall of Edenia and the rise of Shao Kahn. In some versions, Jerrod is killed during Shao Kahn's invasion of Edenia, while in others, his soul is trapped within Ermac. Although his role might not always be that of a main character in the games, Jerrod plays a crucial part in the Mortal Kombat lore, with his death and fate having profound impacts on major characters like Sindel and Kitana.
