Cyrax

Cyrax is a character in the Mortal Kombat series, debuting in Mortal Kombat 3. He is initially an African Lin Kuei assassin who is forcibly transformed into a cyborg. Throughout different timelines, Cyrax's role varies, sometimes as a misguided antagonist and sometimes as an ally. In the original timeline, Cyrax was cybernetically converted by the Lin Kuei and designated unit LK-4D4, tasked with hunting down the renegade Sub-Zero. He later regained his humanity and joined the Special Forces. In the reset timeline, Cyrax initially opposed the Lin Kuei's cyberization plans but was eventually forced into the process. In the latest timeline, Cyrax is a female member of the Lin Kuei who later betrays them and joins the Shirai Ryu. Cyrax is typically depicted as a yellow-armored cyborg ninja with strong fighting skills and an arsenal of weapons, including bombs and energy nets. He is known for using explosives and his quick mobility. Despite starting as a villain, Cyrax has shown a complex character arc and a path to redemption in many storylines.
