Chameleon

Chameleon is a mysterious ninja character in the Mortal Kombat series. He first appeared as a hidden character in Mortal Kombat Trilogy and later returned as a playable character in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Chameleon's unique ability is to mimic the powers of other male ninjas, with his body changing colors to represent the ninja's moves he's using. Although initially lacking a storyline or ending, he received a backstory in Armageddon, suggesting he had been observing from the shadows since the first Mortal Kombat tournament and ultimately rose to prominence during the battle of Armageddon. Chameleon is speculated to be a member of the Saurian race, related to Reptile and Khameleon, though this is not explicitly stated in the games. Chameleon's design is inspired by his ability to camouflage himself like a real chameleon, and his appearance changes based on the moves he utilizes in combat. He is a unique character in the Mortal Kombat franchise, embodying a blend of ninja warrior and mysterious power.
