Shinnok

Shinnok is a major antagonist in the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. He is a fallen Elder God who rules the Netherrealm and seeks death and destruction across all realms. Unlike Shao Kahn, Shinnok relies more on magical powers, ancient artifacts, and manipulation than brute force and intimidation. He possesses immense power, including shapeshifting, summoning skeletal hands, manipulating life force, and mimicking other fighters' abilities. He has served as a main antagonist in multiple games, culminating in Mortal Kombat X, where he corrupted the life force of Earthrealm. Shinnok plays a crucial role in the game's story, his ambition and treachery leading to conflict and chaos in various realms. Despite his power, Shinnok is ultimately defeated, either imprisoned or destroyed. He stands alongside other major villains of the Mortal Kombat series, such as Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn, as one of the most formidable threats in the franchise.
