Sareena

Sareena is a character in the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. She is a demon from the Netherrealm who initially served Quan Chi as one of his personal assassins. Initially ordered to stop Sub-Zero, she betrayed Quan Chi after being spared by Sub-Zero and aided him. Sareena first appeared as a non-playable character and later became playable in Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition and again in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. She has a youthful and beautiful appearance, but hides her true form as a hideous demon. Sareena originally required Quan Chi's magic to maintain her human form, but after escaping the Netherrealm, she found a way to remain beautiful without his magic. She is now a force for good, allied with Sub-Zero and the new Lin Kuei, though she remains wary of her demonic nature. Across different timelines, Sareena has played various roles, as both antagonist and ally, making her a complex and compelling character in the Mortal Kombat series.
