Kia

Kia is a character in the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. She is a member of the Brotherhood of Shadows, serving the evil sorcerer Quan Chi and the fallen Elder God Shinnok. Kia is one of three assassins under Quan Chi, along with Sareena and Jataaka. They each guarded a crystal which, when combined, allowed access to a teleportation device that sent the elder Sub-Zero to Quan Chi's throne room. According to Sareena's story, Kia may also be a demon from the Netherrealm using Quan Chi's magic to sustain her attractive human form. Kia fights using razor-sharp boomerang blades and was defeated by the elder Sub-Zero. In Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's Konquest mode, Kia reappears alongside Sareena and Jataaka, still serving Quan Chi. Together, they battle Taven in the Red Dragon's lair, but are defeated. In Mortal Kombat 1, Ashrah briefly mentions that Kia and Jataaka were sent to hunt her down, but were killed by her in the process.
