Hsu Hao

Hsu Hao is a character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, debuting in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. He is an evil Mongolian grappler serving the Red Dragon criminal organization. Formerly a high-ranking operative in the Chinese Armed Forces, Hsu Hao was betrayed by his superiors and forced to undergo secret biomechanical augmentation, replacing his heart with a cybernetic implant that enhanced his strength. This implant not only increased his physical capabilities but also made him more compliant and capable of firing lasers. Under the Red Dragon's orders, Hsu Hao infiltrated the Special Forces with the goal of destroying them and their inter-realm travel capabilities after they helped destroy the Black Dragon. He ultimately betrayed the Special Forces, detonating a bomb at their headquarters. While a skilled fighter, Hsu Hao's greatest weapon is his manipulative nature, making him successful in sabotage missions. He managed to deceive the Special Forces for some time, destroying multiple bases. In the Mortal Kombat X comic series, Hsu Hao was killed by Scorpion. He also appeared in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon where he died during the battle. Despite being often considered an unpopular character, he remains a notable antagonist in the Mortal Kombat universe.
