Kung Jin

Kung Jin, the younger cousin of Kung Lao, is a playable character in the Mortal Kombat series. Initially a thief, he becomes a Shaolin Monk and makes his debut in Mortal Kombat X. Kung Jin, along with Cassie Cage, Takeda, and Jacqui Briggs are collectively known as the "Kombat Kids". He serves as one of the protagonists in the Story Mode of Mortal Kombat X. Kung Jin once admired his cousin Kung Lao, but after Lao's death, Jin blamed Raiden, leading him down a path of thievery. He later joins the Shaolin Temple and becomes a member of Johnny Cage's secret Special Forces offshoot. Kung Jin is skilled with a bow and arrow and a bo staff. Despite being somewhat egotistical and impulsive, his street smarts prove helpful to the team. Kung Jin also demonstrates a firm belief in second chances and redemption, partly due to his own experiences as a thief.
