Jason Voorhees

Jason Voorhees, known for his appearances in the cult-classic horror film series Friday the 13th, is a playable guest character in Mortal Kombat X and appears in three forms in Mortal Kombat Mobile: Slasher Jason, Unstoppable Jason, and Nightmare Jason. In the Mortal Kombat franchise, Jason Voorhees is an alternate version of the original Jason. He debuted as the first character available through DLC as part of the Kombat Pack. Jason was born on June 13, 1946, to Pamela Voorhees. Jason's arrival in the Mortal Kombat universe is shrouded in mystery, though Shinnok was aware of him before their encounter. Despite being in this unfamiliar realm, Jason continues his bloodlust, murdering anyone who stands in his way. His ceaseless slaughter caught the attention of Raiden and Bo' Rai Cho, though they never intervened. Jason's immortality made him a terrifying, unstoppable adversary, piquing the interest of Netherrealm Emperor Liu Kang. Liu Kang brought Jason to the Netherrealm, offering him an endless supply of victims in hopes of gaining his allegiance. However, this plan backfired, with Jason murdering the former Shaolin Monk and returning to Earthrealm to continue his spree. In Mortal Kombat, Jason retains his iconic look from the Friday the 13th series. His primary weapon is the machete, and he is portrayed as a slow but brutal killer, capable of easily dismembering his victims and demonstrating superhuman strength and durability. He is also a playable fighter in MultiVersus, classified as a tank-type character.
