Taja

Taja is a character in the Mortal Kombat franchise, primarily known for her role in the television series *Mortal Kombat: Conquest* rather than the fighting games. Played by actress Kristanna Loken, Taja is depicted as a charming, upbeat former thief who is quick-witted and skilled in combat. She is known for her cunning and effortless charm, often managing to escape even when caught, thanks to her confident smile and open confession. Taja's background involves being born into a European family and traveling to the Far East as a child. After her parents' disappearance, she learned to survive by using her thieving skills and fighting abilities. In *Mortal Kombat: Conquest*, she fights alongside Kung Lao and Siro against threats from Outworld, defending Earthrealm. Despite her initial identity as a thief, Taja becomes a true ally and forms strong friendships with Kung Lao and Siro. Although the series ended without a clear conclusion, Taja remains a memorable character for fans.
