Kiri and Ankha

Kiri and Ankha are characters from the Mortal Kombat: Conquest television series. They are survivors of the Saurian race, similar to Khameleon. Kiri is portrayed by Sung Hi Lee and Ankha by Tahitia Hicks. They survived the invasion of their realm, Zaterra, by Shao Kahn and its incorporation into Outworld. They serve Shao Kahn and can transform into human forms. Kiri, posing as a seer, tricked Taja and Siro into releasing Noob Saibot. She had a past association and possible relationship with Noob Saibot. Later, they allied with Reptile and Kreeya against Shao Kahn and Earthrealm warriors. During a fight with Kung Lao, Taja, and Siro, Kiri attempted to attack Kung Lao with acid, but Siro’s intervention caused the acid to hit and kill Ankha. Kiri then escaped. She seemed to have a relationship with Reptile and were planning to fight against Shao Kahn. However, Shao Kahn sent his Shadow Priests to kill Kiri and Reptile. Kiri is noted for her agility, speed, and flexibility, arguably the most bendable character in the series. Ankha's unfortunate demise by being hit with her partner's acid attack makes her one of the tragic characters in Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Kiri and Ankha were known for their cunning and manipulative nature, often making others do their bidding, and shared a close friendship and rivalry.
