Qali

Qali is a character in the Mortal Kombat series, primarily appearing in the Mortal Kombat: Conquest TV series. She is an Edenian and a long-time friend of Princess Kitana, with whom she trained. Qali's family was killed before Shao Kahn's conquest of Edenia. Despite this, Qali seemingly remained loyal to Shao Kahn while also maintaining contact with Kitana, hoping to help restore Edenia. She assisted Kitana in traveling to Earthrealm to find the Essence of Edenia but later betrayed her, siding with Shao Kahn. Later, during the Festival of Death, Qali was forced to host a fighting tournament that was actually a plot to turn participants into undead soldiers. Unwilling to participate, Qali joined Shang Tsung but eventually left and was never seen again. Qali was a proficient fighter, though not as skilled as Kitana or Kung Lao. Despite claiming loyalty to Kitana, her actions were more often driven by fear of Shao Kahn, and she prioritized her own survival. Qali's appearance is similar to Jade from the games, although their storylines are different.
