Asgaarth is a non-canon character from the cartoon series *Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm*. He is a member of an Eagle-like race of humanoids originally from Edenia. Asgaarth served as a wise advisor and general to King Jerrod. After Jerrod's death at the hands of Shao Kahn, Asgaarth went into hiding but secretly remained in contact with Princess Kitana, Jerrod's daughter, serving as one of her main advisors during her plotting of rebellion.
