Ramath

Ramath is a non-canon character from the Mortal Kombat series, making his first and only appearance in the animated series Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, where he was voiced by Brock Peters. He was an elderly male known as the Keeper of the Crystal Realm. Ramath was a close friend of King of Edenia, Princess Kitana's father. The young Kitana learned much from the elderly man. Ramath survived Shao Kahn's invasion and incorporation of Edenia into Outworld. After the death of his friend, Ramath guided the young Kitana over the centuries, acting like a second father to her. During a rebellion planned with Zara against Shao Kahn, Ramath and Kitana were betrayed by Zara, who attempted to obtain the Swords of Ilkan to become the undisputed master of the realms. Ramath was mortally wounded in the conflict and died. Ilkan, also known as the Crystal Realm, is a realm mentioned in Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm and is where the legendary Swords of Ilkan were created. The realm consisted of giant mountains made of crystals, and once housed a prosperous city. Most of its inhabitants were destroyed during Shao Kahn's invasion. Ramath was the keeper of the realm, tasked with protecting the Swords of Ilkan.
