Hydro

Hydro is a character in the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in the Mortal Kombat: Blood & Thunder comic books. He is a member of the Lin Kuei clan and a close friend of Sub-Zero. Hydro possesses the ability to control water, capable of launching freezing cold water blasts that can even freeze opponents. In the comics, he fights alongside Sub-Zero against threats from Outworld. However, during a battle with Scorpion, Hydro is killed, becoming a victim of Scorpion's revenge plot. In Mortal Kombat: Legacy, Hydro is portrayed as an early prototype of the Lin Kuei cybernetic ninja program, designated unit LK1V1. He exhibits skills similar to those of the cyborg ninjas, including using electricity to enhance his attacks. Despite showing initial strength, he is ultimately defeated by Cyrax and Sektor. While not a central character, Hydro's story adds depth to the Mortal Kombat universe, showcasing the history and technological evolution of the Lin Kuei clan. His presence highlights the tragedy and revenge themes associated with Sub-Zero's story in the series.
