Lance

In *Mortal Kombat: Legacy*, Lance is a movie director who signed a contract with Johnny Cage. After Cage submitted an idea for a new show, Lance and another director were both disappointed with the concept. While the other director left, Lance gave Cage another chance. However, when Cage submitted a new idea, Lance and another director both turned it down. They also revealed that the company would not be renewing Cage's contract. As Cage was about to leave the studio, he overheard Lance talking to another actress, offering her a spot in a show that was entirely taken from Cage's pitched ideas. As a result, Cage confronted Lance and violently beat him up. An enraged Lance threatened to make sure Cage never got another job. It is important to note that this Lance is not the same person as Sonya's partner Lieutenant Lance. This Lance is not a main character in the *Mortal Kombat* series, and only appears briefly in *Mortal Kombat: Legacy*.
