Taizan Morozumi

Taizan Morozumi is a character from the Samurai Shodown (also known as Samurai Spirits) series, making his first and only appearance in Samurai Shodown 64: Warriors Rage and its Neo Geo Pocket Color counterpart, Samurai Shodown! 2. He is voiced by Takaya Yamauchi. Taizan is a man who possesses the power to seal evil, a power passed down through his family. Tired of fighting, he retires to the quiet mountains with his family. However, his wife and son are killed by Yuga, and to seek revenge, he sets out to find Yuga. Realizing he was turning into a demon himself, he returns to the mountains, seals his spear, and guards his wife and son’s grave. His weapon is a spear that can transform into a giant calligraphy brush, which he uses to launch attacks by writing words. Taizan employs calligraphy in combat, using the power of words to manifest attacks. Despite his limited appearances in the Samurai Shodown series, his unique design and abilities, coupled with his tragic backstory, make him a memorable character. He is known for his pacifistic nature and his aversion to violence, but he is always willing to fight for what he cherishes.
