Suija is a character from the Samurai Shodown series, first appearing in Samurai Shodown V. He is inspired by Suija Sogetsu from Samurai Shodown 64: Warriors Rage. In the game's lore, Suija was originally a disciple of Liu Yunfei but fell to the demonic path due to his obsession with the Human-Demon Unity technique. He proclaims himself to be a god and seeks immense power. Suija's fighting style primarily involves aerial techniques, utilizing his hydrokinesis to control water in battles. He is known for his arrogant personality, demanding to be worshipped. Suija's storyline often intertwines with Enja, another fallen disciple seeking power. In Samurai Shodown V, he is eventually sealed by Sogetsu, but in the parallel universe of Samurai Shodown Tenkaichi Kenkakuden, he becomes a god alongside Enja, serving as the god of creation while Enja becomes the god of destruction. Players often refer to him as “Suija-sama” due to his boastful lines and unique movements, which make him a powerful yet comical character.
