Jin-Emon Hanafusa

Jin-Emon Hanafusa is a character from the Samurai Shodown series, first appearing in Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage. He is a veteran samurai fiercely loyal to the shogunate, known for his strict adherence to the samurai code and unwavering loyalty. During his years of service, he befriended Seishiro (possibly Kuki Seishiro) and Jushiro Sakaki. He is tasked with a secret mission alongside Seishiro to quell the rebellion of the Three Blades of Dominion and to apprehend the rogue Jushiro. Unlike his partner, Jin-Emon is sympathetic towards his lower-ranked peers stationed at Ritenkyo, trying to boost their morale with a promise of returning home. His fighting style emphasizes keeping distance from opponents, utilizing his weapon's length for mid-range combat and punishing enemy mistakes. He is an old-fashioned character, quite shy around women due to a lifetime spent away from them. Jin-Emon's story is also reflected in the game ending, where he duels Jushiro, loses, warns his friend about the shogunate's pursuers, and is then treated for his wounds by Saya, comically experiencing a nosebleed due to Saya's flirting.
