Suzu

Suzu, also known as Princess Suzu (鈴姫, Suzuhime), is a character from the Samurai Shodown series. She first appeared in Samurai Shodown Sen as the main heroine of the game. She is voiced by Kae Araki. Suzu is a princess from a foreign country, orphaned when her parents' ship was raided ten years ago. She washed ashore the beaches of Japan and was adopted by a daimyo who resides in Amori. One day, ten years later, she found Takechiyo along the shoreline and nursed him back to health. After learning that the ship Takechiyo stowed away on collided with a ship bearing a particular crest, Suzu ran away from home two months before the game begins in order to pursue a certain man. It is revealed in her story that her parents were killed by Golba, who did it as a loyal member of the Lesphia kingdom to protect the country's military strength, something her father's reign of peace wouldn't allow. Her sword is a country treasure, and he needs it to claim ownership of Lesphia. After defeating Golba, Suzu briefly wonders whether to return to her home country or her home in Japan. After Takechiyo joins her, Suzu decides to stay by his side as his support, hoping that he finds an answer to his life of swordplay. Suzu is a strong-willed girl who is attracted to adventure. Having spent most of her life being pampered, she treasures her newfound independence in the world.
