Original Titleウー・レイシャン

Languages:

  • Chinese: 吴瑞香
  • Japanese: ウー・レイシャン
  • English: Wu-Ruixiang
Wu-Ruixiang (ウー・レイシャン), also known as Wú Ruìxiāng, is a new character introduced in the Samurai Shodown (also known as Samurai Spirits) series, debuting in the 2019 release. She is a Chinese princess and ambassador, as well as a descendant of a Feng Shui clan. Her character design combines the concepts of a 'woman with great power' and 'Feng Shui.' She is voiced by Seira Ryū. Within the game's lore, Wu-Ruixiang is depicted as wise yet clumsy, preferring indoor activities and disliking exercise. Her fighting style is distinctive, primarily relying on her compass as a shield and for activating traps and launching projectiles. Her abilities include setting ground traps, firing high, medium, and low fireballs, and using her shield for counterattacks and reflecting projectiles. Although her normal attack range is limited, she can be effective with skillful setup, zoning, and counter-attacking. Her defense relies on her reflexes and timing, requiring careful player input. In the game's storyline, Wu-Ruixiang is sent to Japan to investigate dark forces while simultaneously dealing with a rebellion in her homeland. She can summon the power of divine beasts and even a dragon with her special abilities.
