Kadaj (カダージュ) is a character from the *Final Fantasy VII* series, first appearing as the primary antagonist in the novel *Final Fantasy VII The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story*, and later as a secondary antagonist in the film *Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children*. He is an embodiment of Sephiroth's will, manifested from the Lifestream. Kadaj considers Jenova his mother, and his goal is to find her and bring about a second Jenova Reunion. He closely resembles Sephiroth, with shoulder-length silver hair and green cat-like eyes. He wears black leather clothing with a single wing motif on the back, alluding to Sephiroth. Kadaj is cruel and insane, devoted to Jenova but unaware of Sephiroth's influence over her. He is insecure about Jenova 'choosing' Sephiroth over him, and although he does not fully understand Sephiroth, he can sense his presence. Kadaj is a highly skilled swordsman, wielding a double-bladed katana called the 'Souba'. He can summon Shadow Creepers from the Lifestream and use Materia to summon Bahamut SIN. In *Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children*, he eventually merges with Jenova, briefly transforming into Sephiroth, before being defeated by Cloud and dissolving back into the Lifestream. He has made several appearances in other spin-off titles.
