Nero

Nero, also known as Nero the Sable, is a significant antagonist in the Final Fantasy VII series, first appearing in Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. He is a member of the Deepground organization and the younger brother of Weiss. Nero possesses the power to manipulate darkness, derived from mako associated with Chaos. He is characterized by his gloomy and taciturn nature, harbors an almost worshipful love for Weiss, and acts solely for Weiss and Deepground's cause. Nero wears a straitjacket-like restraint to suppress his powers, has mechanical wings on his back, and wields uniquely designed firearms. He often appears alongside Weiss and leads Deepground's soldiers when Weiss is incapacitated. In the DLC episode "INTERmission" of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Nero appears as the final boss, showcasing his amplified dark powers and combat abilities. He manipulates dark energy, absorbs enemies, and attacks with darkness, making him a formidable foe. Nero is considered one of the more levelheaded members of Deepground, but his emotional instability and dependence on Weiss make him unpredictable.
