Rosso

Rosso, also known as Rosso the Crimson, is an antagonist in the Final Fantasy VII spin-off Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. She is a member of the Tsviets, an elite group within Deepground. Rosso is a sadist who wields a unique double-bladed weapon capable of both melee and ranged gunfire, similar to a gunblade. She appears as a woman in her late twenties with shoulder-length crimson hair and matching eyes. Rosso's personality is warped, and she enjoys torturing and killing, a result of her rigorous training in Deepground. She is loyal to Weiss and considers fulfilling his wishes to be Deepground's objective. Rosso is also a narcissist, declaring in her final moments that "no one will stand above me!" She longs to see the real sky, having spent her entire life in Deepground and only seeing projections. In Dirge of Cerberus, Rosso battles Vincent Valentine and Cloud Strife multiple times, eventually facing Vincent in a final showdown at the old Shinra Building, where she falls to her death. Her name "Rosso" is Italian for red, although grammatically it should be the feminine "Rossa," the masculine form is retained.
