Nanaki

Nanaki, also known as Red XIII, is a prominent character in Final Fantasy VII. He is a red, lion or wolf-like beast belonging to a long-lived species, and is the only playable quadrupedal character in the main series. Originally captured and experimented on by Professor Hojo, he was given the designation "Red XIII." Despite being 48 years old, he is developmentally equivalent to a 15 or 16-year-old human by his species' standards. Nanaki fights alongside Cloud and his companions to defend the Planet. He is known for his unique personality and backstory, initially feigning coolness and maturity, but revealing his true age with playfulness and curiosity when interacting with his allies.
