Vincent Valentine

Vincent Valentine, also known as ヴィンセント・ヴァレンタイン, is a mysterious and complex character in the Final Fantasy VII series. He was once a member of the elite Shinra operative group known as the Turks, but due to past tragic events, he exiled himself and slumbered for many years in the basement of the Shinra Mansion. Vincent carries a heavy past, deeply regretting the 'sins' he committed. He has a modified body that allows him to transform into powerful monsters, and he uses firearms in battle. He harbors a strong aversion to scientific experiments, particularly those conducted by Professor Hojo. In Final Fantasy VII, he joins the party as an optional character, fighting to stop Sephiroth's ambition and seeking answers about his past. In the sequel Dirge of Cerberus, Vincent is the protagonist, battling the organization Deepground that threatens the Planet, and further revealing his deeper secrets. Vincent is a cool, taciturn character, but he harbors a deep affection for his past love, and a strong sense of justice.
