Zack Fair

Zack Fair is a significant character in Final Fantasy VII and its related works. He first appeared as a non-player character in Final Fantasy VII, presented through flashback sequences. He later became the protagonist of the prequel, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, where his story was fully expanded. Zack was a member of the Shinra Electric Power Company's elite SOLDIER unit, characterized by his cheerful personality and dream of becoming a hero. He was mentored by Angeal Hewley and inherited Angeal's iconic weapon, the Buster Sword. Zack was a close friend of Cloud Strife and also Aerith Gainsborough's first love. His story is filled with sacrifice and friendship, leaving a lasting impact on the world of Final Fantasy VII. Zack's character and story have been continually expanded in the Final Fantasy VII spin-offs, making him one of the series' most beloved characters.
