Quistis Trepe

Quistis Trepe is a playable character in Final Fantasy VIII, known as a child prodigy and Blue Mage, and Instructor No. 14 at Balamb Garden. Her fans are referred to as "Trepies." Quistis is a young and talented woman who became a SeeD at 15 and the youngest instructor at the Garden at 18. Despite her calm and composed exterior, she is actually quite sensitive, viewing herself as the group's "big sister" and taking it upon herself to look after everyone. She longs for closer relationships with those around her, especially Squall, but hesitates to make a move. At first, she mistakes her feelings of protectiveness for Squall as love, but later realizes it was a sisterly sense of responsibility stemming from their childhood. Quistis wields a whip as her weapon and is skilled in Blue Magic, allowing her to learn and use enemy skills in battle. She is known for her cool and collected demeanor, but occasionally shows her playful and teasing side.
