Seifer Almasy

Seifer Almasy, or サイファー・アルマシー in Japanese, is a major antagonist and a rival to Squall Leonhart in Final Fantasy VIII. He is an impulsive, arrogant, and rebellious SeeD candidate from Balamb Garden. Despite his prowess in combat and mastery of the gunblade, his insubordination and reckless behavior prevent him from passing the SeeD exams. Seifer dreams of becoming a knight like the one in the movie 'The Sorceress Knight.' This ambition leads him to be manipulated by the sorceress Edea, and he becomes her knight, often opposing Squall and his party. Seifer is portrayed as a stark contrast to Squall, with differences in appearance, personality, and fighting style. Their rivalry and conflicts are central to the plot of Final Fantasy VIII. Despite his initial villainous portrayal, Seifer exhibits complex emotions and undergoes transformations throughout the story, showing moments of struggle and reflection.
