Raijin

Raijin is a character in Final Fantasy VIII, a friend of Seifer, and a recurring boss the player encounters throughout the game. Raijin is a tall, muscular, dark-skinned 18-year-old with a somewhat clumsy personality, often needing guidance from his friends. He also appears to be a bit lazy. Raijin has an interest in insects and habitually ends his sentences with "ya know?". He usually acts together with Fujin. Both of them are part of the Balamb Garden disciplinary committee and later become generals in the Galbadian army, supporting Seifer. Raijin primarily uses physical attacks in battle, prioritizing male characters, and only attacking female characters if they are the only ones left. He is able to absorb Thunder damage. As the story progresses, Raijin's loyalty to Seifer wavers, eventually leading him to choose a peaceful life with Fujin, no longer following Seifer.
