Club

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Club" refers to a member of the hidden Card Club (CC Group), a group composed of Balamb Garden students and faculty. Players must challenge these characters in a specific order to progress through the side quest. These characters are named after suits and face cards in a standard deck, such as "Jack," "Club," the "Diamond" twins, and "King." To challenge these characters, players must find them in specific areas of Balamb Garden, sometimes requiring repeated entrances and exits to trigger their appearance. Completing this side quest rewards players with rare cards and allows them to reacquire cards they may have lost or refined previously. The club members appear later in the game on the Ragnarok airship and challenge with rules from different regions. Ultimately, the last CC Group member players challenge is the hidden Quistis, who holds a rare Gilgamesh card. Upon defeating all members, players unlock the 'Cards Club Master' achievement.
