Wishing Star is one of Rinoa Heartilly's ultimate Limit Breaks in Final Fantasy VIII. This ability generally deals a significant amount of magic damage to all enemies. Rinoa rides on her pet dog, Angelo, and charges through the enemies multiple times from various directions. To learn Wishing Star, players need to purchase the Pet Pals Vol. 6 magazine from the pet shop in Esthar City, then select the skill to learn in the status menu and walk approximately 1010 steps with Rinoa in the active party. Wishing Star can be triggered when Rinoa is in Crisis Level 4 and uses the Combine command. Unlike some other Limit Breaks, Wishing Star requires the player to actively acquire it and fulfill certain conditions to activate it. As one of Rinoa’s ultimate abilities, it showcases her powerful magical capabilities and the synergy she shares with Angelo in battle.
