Angelo Recover is a unique ability in Final Fantasy VIII, exclusive to Rinoa Heartilly. It's one of Angelo's passive abilities, not activated through the Limit Break Combine command. Angelo has a chance to randomly appear and heal a party member for 62.5% of their max HP when their health drops below 25%, or when Rinoa is attacked by an enemy. This ability is learned by reading the Pet Pals Vol. 2 magazine and then walking around 200 steps with Rinoa in the party. Angelo Recover is a free, random heal that doesn't take up a turn. However, it's important to note that if a party member has the "Zombie" status, Angelo Recover will instead KO them, so caution is advised. This skill doesn't work against Propagator enemies. Angelo Recover enhances Rinoa’s survivability in battle, making her a suitable candidate to take damage for others. Once learned, it cannot be turned off or unlearned.
