Blue Magic

In Final Fantasy VIII, Blue Magic is the Limit Break of the character Quistis Trepe. She learns new Blue Magic skills by using specific items obtained from enemies. Unlike traditional magic, Blue Magic consists of special attacks that mimic monster abilities. The power of these skills increases with the Crisis Level, which is the more disadvantageous position Quistis finds herself in. In the Steam version of the game, collecting all of Quistis’ Blue Magic skills unlocks an achievement, though this achievement is absent in the Remastered version. The method of acquiring Blue Magic is unique, requiring players to explore and collect various items to unlock the abilities. Quistis can then use these learned abilities in battle, offering diverse strategic options.
