Meteor Barret

Meteor Barrage (Japanese: メテオバレット, Meteo Baretto), also known as Meteor Barret, is a Limit Break associated with Zell Dincht in Final Fantasy VIII. It is a special finishing move used within Zell's 'Duel' mode. When 'Duel' initiates, players have a variable amount of time to input a series of commands to chain attacks together. Meteor Barrage is one of the finishing moves, triggered by a specific input. When Zell uses Meteor Barrage, he jumps into the air, charges his fists with energy, and then crashes down on an opponent with a powerful, explosive physical attack. The power of this move is determined by Zell's Strength stat, and it can deal significant single-target damage. While Meteor Barrage is a strong finishing move, it's not necessarily Zell's most powerful damage option, as sustained combos within 'Duel' can yield higher overall damage. Meteor Barrage is learned by reading Combat King 003 magazine, and can be performed with a specific command input in battle. It has also become one of Zell Dincht's signature moves in various subsequent spin-off titles.
