Fire Cross

Fire Cross, or 始末剣 (Shimatsuken) in Japanese, is Seifer Almasy's unique Limit Break in Final Fantasy VIII. Unlike other characters, who need to be at critical HP, Seifer can execute this ability when his HP is below 84%. The skill set begins with a fire spell followed by a sword attack, mirroring the opening cinematic where Seifer attacks Squall. While controlling Seifer, players can only use 'No Mercy,' but in boss battles, Seifer uses 'Demon Slice' and 'Bloodfest.' The fire attack is purely visual, not an elemental attack, and doesn't consume magic. Additionally, Seifer can perform 'Zantetsuken Reverse' against Odin. The remastered version of Final Fantasy VIII enhances Fire Cross' visuals. In some spin-offs, 'No Mercy,' 'Demon Slice,' and 'Bloodfest' also appear.
