Shiva

Shiva, or シヴァ in Japanese, is an Ice-elemental Guardian Force (GF) in Final Fantasy VIII. She is one of the two initial GFs that Squall Leonhart possesses at the start of the game, along with Quezacotl. Shiva is well-known for her signature attack, 'Diamond Dust,' a powerful ability that inflicts Ice-elemental damage to all enemies. In the game, Shiva can be junctioned to characters, allowing them to use battle commands like Magic, GF, and Item. Shiva also learns unique abilities like the Doom command, which places a death sentence countdown on the target. She is depicted as a blue-skinned woman with a cold, beautiful appearance, her long blue hair and icicle-like decorations symbolizing her ice affinity. Beyond being a powerful ally in combat, Shiva plays a significant role in the plot and gameplay of Final Fantasy VIII, with her unique abilities and attributes being an important factor in the player's game strategy.
