Thunder Storm

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Thunder Storm" (サンダーストーム) is the signature ability of the Guardian Force Quezacotl. As a lightning-elemental area-of-effect attack, it summons storm clouds to damage all enemies in battle. Quezacotl is one of the first Guardian Forces players obtain, making "Thunder Storm" an important source of early game damage. The animation involves Quezacotl summoning lightning to strike all opponents. Although more powerful lightning spells and Guardian Forces become available later in the game, "Thunder Storm" remains a classic and iconic skill within Final Fantasy VIII. "Thunder Storm" also appears in other Final Fantasy titles, often as a lightning-based attack used by various summons or characters.
