Holy Judgment

In Final Fantasy VIII, "Holy Judgment" (聖なる審判) is the special ability of the summon Guardian Force Alexander, and a powerful Holy-elemental attack. Alexander appears from a remote mountain area, firing 16 laser beams that accurately strike enemies, inflicting Holy-elemental damage to all foes. The Holy element in the Final Fantasy series is often an embodiment of divine power, effective against undead or dark-elemental enemies. In Final Fantasy VIII, the Holy element is relatively rare, associated with Alexander's summon, the spell "Holy", and a few items. This ability not only has spectacular visual effects but also deals significant damage to enemies. Holy-elemental attacks are generally among the stronger attack types in the game, though not all enemies are weak to it. Players typically acquire the Alexander summon by drawing from Edea or through other means. Tactically, Holy Judgment is an effective way to deal with groups of enemies. This skill is not unique to this entry in the series; it has appeared in different forms in other Final Fantasy games.
