ChocoFlare

In Final Fantasy VIII, "ChocoFlare" or "チョコフレア" is one of the powerful attack abilities used by Boko, a summonable Chicobo (young Chocobo). Boko is a special character obtained by the player after completing the Chocobo Forest mini-game. Unlike other Guardian Forces (GFs), Boko cannot be junctioned to a character but is summoned in battle using Gysahl Greens. ChocoFlare is one of Boko's four attack abilities, and its power and animation vary depending on the average level of the player's party. In addition to ChocoFlare, Boko has other attacks such as ChocoFire, ChocoMeteor, and ChocoBocle, the latter being his ultimate attack that summons a Chubby Chocobo to attack, even breaking the damage limit. In the remastered version of Final Fantasy VIII, Boko's attacks are included within the main game and do not need to be unlocked through the Chocobo World mini-game. In the original version, Boko's abilities were gained by leveling up in the PocketStation game Chocobo World, but in the remaster, players can use these powerful attacks simply by leveling up in the main game.
