Chocobuckle, also known as チョコボックル, is a unique attack in Final Fantasy VIII. It is not a traditional magic spell or skill, but rather an attack performed by summoning Boko, a young chocobo. In the game, players summon Boko using Gysahl Greens, and he executes various powerful attacks, including ChocoFire, ChocoFlare, and ChocoMeteor. Ultimately, after Boko is fully powered up, he can use his ultimate attack, ChocoBocle, summoning the Chubby Chocobo for an attack that can break the damage limit. In the original versions, leveling up Boko and acquiring his attacks required a separate mini-game called "Chocobo World," which was initially available only in the Japanese PlayStation release. However, in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, Boko levels up and uses his attacks within the main game. It's noteworthy that ChocoBocle's damage scales based on the party's average level rather than solely on the protagonist's level. This special summon attack offers players a distinct and potent combat option, making it a very popular feature of Final Fantasy VIII.
