Ultra Waves

Ultra Waves is a special Limit Break ability for Quistis Trepe in Final Fantasy VIII, also known as Ultravibration. It is a non-elemental magic attack that damages all enemies. The power of Ultra Waves depends on Quistis' magic stat and the current Crisis Level. The higher the Crisis Level, the more powerful Ultra Waves becomes. Players can learn this ability by using a Spider Web item, which can be obtained by defeating Caterchipillars or by refining their cards. Caterchipillars also use Ultra Waves as an enemy attack, which inflicts Berserk status in addition to damage. Ultra Waves is one of Quistis' early Blue Magic abilities, making it a valuable skill for dealing with groups of enemies early in the game. It does not consume magic points or require casting time, allowing Quistis to launch attacks quickly in critical situations. While it is superseded later in the game by more powerful non-elemental and elemental spells, it remains a very useful ability for her early on.
